Gay Agenda #3: Live, Laugh, Yearn

(3 minute read)

If yearning was an Olympic sport, the dykes would medal every time. We’re always in love, even when we’re single, even when it’s just over someone’s Spotify profile pic. Falling in love (again and again) is absolutely part of the agenda.

Quick confession: If you’re thinking, “Wait, was there a Gay Agenda #2??” — you’re not wrong. I posted it to the blog, made a cute social post, and then… forgot to email it. Classic.

It was all about building my queer wealth (aka raising my prices just a smidge — astrologers have rent too). If you want to catch up, you can read it here.

Now, back to the regularly scheduled yearning-core content.

And because falling in love (with others, with yourself, with life) is such a cornerstone of the Gay Agenda, I’m launching something new: a Venus-Centric Birth Chart Reading!

(Yes, we’re putting the planet of love, beauty, and bisexual lighting under a microscope.)

In your birth chart, Venus rules how you approach:

  • Love and relationships (obviously)

  • How you relate to others (flirting or avoiding eye contact across the bar)

  • What you value (the things that make life worth romanticizing)

  • Money/assets/resources (and why you own three tarot decks but no savings account)

  • How you put food on the table (no judgment — capitalism is the real problem anyway)

  • Creativity/art/aesthetics (the ongoing project of curating your entire existence into a coherent vibe)

  • Your talents, skills (master of holding space and overanalyzing texts)

  • How you experience pleasure (insert knowing wink)

  • Where you find beauty (in people who look like they could fix your sink, and skies that could fix your soul)

  • Diplomacy, justice (fighting for trans rights and your friend’s right to ghost their situationship in peace)

  • Your relationship to gender-based issues, rights, causes (#ally, but make it existential)

  • The concept of gender itself (a diva, a mystery, a part-time job)

  • And, of course, “Everything is Romantic” by Charli XCX ft. Caroline Polachek

This 90-minute birth chart reading will focus on your unique approach to all these Venus themes — the beautiful, the messy, and the deeply personal.

Why now?

Because Venus is about to go retrograde from March 1 to April 12, sliding back into the wistful, yearning waters of Pisces and out of the chaotic, first-date energy of Aries.

Retrogrades are astrology’s way of saying: pause, reflect, and rethink. They’re cosmic opportunities to revisit whatever that planet rules — and with Venus, we’re talking love, beauty, pleasure, money, and gender feels.

During the reading, I’ll show you which areas of your life Venus is asking you to review, and (if you want) I’ll also offer some astrologically-charged advice on how to navigate the retrograde shenanigans.
